Philosophy

Stillness is strength.

In the tradition of the Tao: when we cease interfering, balance returns naturally.

Wu Wei: The Art of Non-Force

"To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders."

Wu wei (无为) is often mistranslated as "doing nothing." More accurately, it means working with the flow of things rather than against it. It's alignment, not effort.

When we embody Wu wei, we stop trying to fix ourselves through willpower alone. We stop fighting our own nature. Instead, we create conditions for the body's innate intelligence to do what it already knows how to do: restore, recalibrate, return.

At Still, reiki isn't something done to you. It's a practice of being fully present with you, allowing energy to move towards what needs attention. No agenda. No force. Just space.

Whole in the
emptiness.

A Note from the Heart

Welcome to this space. I'm Nikolaas, and I founded Still as a response to the overwhelming noise of our modern lives.

For many years, I've been a student of quiet. I've learned that most of our suffering comes from the belief that we must always be doing something to be worthy, or fixing something to be whole.

My approach to reiki is one of deep presence and empathy. When you're here in the studio, my only intention is to reflect back your own wholeness. I don't see you as a series of problems to solve. I see you as a natural landscape that simply needs the right conditions to bloom.

It's my greatest honour to hold this space with you. At Still, you're safe to let go of the oars and let the water carry you home.

With care,Nikolaas signature
